PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
MESOneedling and Microneedling
We are excited to welcome you to the clinic for your upcoming meso-needling treatment, which combines microneedling with potent active serums to promote skin rejuvenation, hydration, and overall radiance. To help you achieve the best results safely, please carefully read and follow the pre-care, aftercare, and important treatment information outlined below.
Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation procedure that uses a device with fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production. It improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, scars, large pores, and pigmentation. The treatment is primarily focused on triggering the skin’s natural healing process.
Meso needling combines microneedling with the simultaneous infusion of targeted mesotherapy actives (such as vitamins, hyaluronic acid, peptides, or growth factors). These actives are delivered into the microchannels created by the needles, enhancing hydration, glow, elasticity, and overall skin health while still stimulating collagen.
Key Differences:
Microneedling: collagen induction therapy (CIT), typically done with a dry or neutral serum base
Meso needling: microneedling with active meso serums (hydrating, brightening, anti-aging ingredients).
Meso needling is especially more effective for those wanting both immediate glow and hydration and long-term skin remodeling. It’s commonly used in anti-aging protocols, for dull, tired skin, or post-acne scarring with added skin nourishment.
Pre-Care Instructions
7 to 10 days prior to your appointment, please avoid medications and supplements that can increase your risk of bruising and bleeding, unless medically necessary. This includes aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, high-dose vitamin E, gingko biloba, and St. John’s Wort. You may continue taking multivitamins and paracetamol if needed and not contraindicated. Minimise sun exposure, and do not proceed with the treatment if you are sunburnt, as this compromises skin integrity and healing. Refrain from undergoing any other aesthetic or skin treatments, including waxing, laser, facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, microneedling, or injectables for at least 10–14 days prior to your meso-needling session.
In the 24 hours before treatment, avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise, both of which increase the risk of bleeding and inflammation. Arrive at your appointment with a clean face, free of makeup, skincare products, or fake tan. Please have a light meal beforehand to maintain blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of dizziness or light-headedness. Inform your practitioner of any new or existing medications, allergies, or active skincare ingredients you are using (such as retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C), and disclose any relevant medical conditions, including pregnancy or breastfeeding.
What to Expect During and After Your Treatment
Meso-needling combines the collagen-stimulating effects of microneedling with targeted delivery of active serums deep into the skin. During the procedure, you may feel slight discomfort, warmth, or prickling sensations as the microneedles create microchannels. This is generally well tolerated.
Immediately post-treatment, you can expect your skin to appear pink to red—similar to a sunburn—for 24 to 72 hours. Mild swelling, tightness, tenderness, or heat may also be present. You may see pinpoint bleeding or small scabs. The skin may feel dry or flaky for a few days as cell turnover increases. Tiny bumps or texture changes can also occur temporarily where the actives have been infused.
Possible Side Effects
Common and expected side effects include redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, dryness, flaking, tightness, and sensitivity. These usually resolve within 2–5 days. You may also notice temporary rough texture or mild bruising, particularly around delicate areas like under the eyes. Less commonly, clients may experience:
Mild discomfort or itching as the skin heals
Tingling or stinging sensations post-treatment
Tiny pustules or acne breakouts due to skin purging or product sensitivity
Small bruises, especially if you’re prone to bruising or if blood-thinning substances were not avoided pre-treatment
Hyperpigmentation (rare) in darker skin tones or if sun protection is not used post-treatment
Infection, although rare, can occur if aftercare is not properly followedAllergic reactions to active ingredients (please inform your clinician of any known allergies)Prolonged erythema (redness lasting more than 72 hours) in rare cases
These effects are generally mild and self-limiting. However, if you experience signs of infection (heat, swelling, pus, spreading redness), prolonged discomfort, or any unexpected reaction, please contact the clinic immediately.
Aftercare Instructions
For the first 4 to 6 hours post-treatment, avoid washing your face or applying any skincare products, including moisturiser or sunscreen. Do not touch or pick at the skin. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection. When you do resume makeup, ensure brushes and tools are clean and sanitised.
Avoid all active skincare products—including retinoids, exfoliants, AHAs, BHAs, and vitamin C—for 3 to 5 days post-treatment or until the skin is fully healed. Refrain from strenuous exercise, heat exposure, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming for 48 hours. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least one week and apply a high-quality SPF 30+ daily starting the morning after your treatment. This is essential to prevent post-inflammatory pigmentation and support healing.
Stay hydrated, eat a balanced diet, and avoid alcohol and smoking for the first 48 hours to support skin recovery. Use only the post-care products recommended by your clinician—usually a gentle cleanser, hydrating serum, and barrier-repairing moisturiser. Expect skin improvements to gradually build over the next 7–21 days, with full results visible after a series of treatments.
For optimal outcomes, a course of 5-6 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart is recommended, depending on your individual skin goals and response.
Refrain from alcohol 24 hours before your appointment to minimize the risk of bruising, and avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications if possible for 2 weeks before your treatment. Check with your clinician before stopping any medications.
Plan your appointment at least 2 weeks before special events,
Note that pregnancy or breastfeeding disqualifies you as a candidate for the treatment.

Chemical Peel, LHA LALA Peel & Duosomal Peel
Chemical peels are a powerful tool for skin renewal, targeting concerns such as pigmentation, acne, texture, fine lines, and dullness. This guide will help you prepare for your treatment, understand what to expect, and follow proper aftercare for optimal, safe results.
Overview of Peels
LHA LALA Peel
The LHA LALA Peel is a Korean medical-grade chemical exfoliation treatment designed to deeply purify the pores while hydrating and strengthening the skin barrier. It uses Lipo-Hydroxy Acid (LHA) and Polyhydroxy Acids (PHA), including lactobionic acid and gluconolactone, to gently exfoliate with minimal irritation. It’s ideal for sensitive, congested, acne-prone, or inflamed skin, and is often used as part of an acne control or skin-calming protocol. It promotes clearer, smoother, and brighter skin without harsh peeling or flaking.
Toskani Duosomal Peel
The Toskani Duosomal Peel is a dual-phase (liposomal and aqueous) peel containing mandelic acid, salicylic acid, and azelaic acid. This peel targets acne, melasma, rosacea, and uneven tone or texture. It’s particularly effective for oily and problematic skin and is safe for sensitive and darker skin tones. The duosomal delivery system enhances penetration while minimising surface irritation. It’s a great option for refining pores, reducing redness, and rebalancing sebum production.
Pre-Care Instructions
For 7 days before your appointment, discontinue any use of retinoids (e.g., tretinoin, Retinol), exfoliating acids (AHAs, BHAs, PHAs), vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide, or any harsh active skincare. Avoid waxing, depilatory creams, dermaplaning, microneedling, or laser treatments. Do not use self-tanning products on the face.
Avoid sun exposure and do not attend the clinic with sunburn, inflamed, or broken skin. Let your practitioner know if you are using prescription medications, have had recent antibiotic use, or have a history of cold sores (HSV-1), as antiviral prophylaxis may be required.
24 hours before your peel, do not consume alcohol or engage in vigorous exercise. Arrive at your appointment with a clean, makeup-free face.
What to Expect During the Treatment
During the peel, you may experience a warm, prickly, or tingling sensation as the acids begin to work. This is generally well tolerated and subsides within minutes. Your practitioner will monitor your skin’s response closely. Some clients report a tightening or dry feeling immediately afterward, and the skin may look slightly flushed, dewy, or glassy post-treatment.
Side Effects
Common and expected effects:
Mild redness, tightness, or sensitivity for 24–72 hours
Flakiness or dry patches, usually beginning 2–3 days post-treatment and resolving within 5–7 days
Mild itching or tingling as skin regenerates
Temporary breakouts or “purging” as underlying congestion surfaces
Less common but potential side effects:
Peeling or shedding: some peels (especially Toskani) may cause mild visible peeling; this is usually patchy and manageable
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH): more common in darker skin tones if exposed to UV after treatment
Hypopigmentation: rare but possible in individuals with highly reactive or sensitive skin
Prolonged erythema (redness) lasting more than 5 days
Irritation or allergic reaction to peel components (e.g., salicylic acid or azelaic acid)
Breakouts may occur temporarily post-treatment due to skin purging or product incompatibility
Infection or cold sore flare-ups: rare, but possible if proper aftercare isn’t followed
If any adverse reaction worsens or persists longer than 5–7 days, or you develop symptoms of infection (increasing redness, pus, heat), contact the clinic immediately.
Aftercare Instructions
For the first 12–24 hours, avoid washing your face. After this period, use only a gentle, non-active cleanser and apply a hydrating, non-fragranced moisturiser. Do not exfoliate, rub, pick, or peel any flaking skin. Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours and then only use clean, mineral or non-comedogenic products.
Avoid retinoids, vitamin C, acids, peels, or exfoliating products for 5–7 days. Refrain from strenuous workouts, sweating, steam rooms, saunas, and chlorinated pools for 48 hours.
Sun protection is critical—apply broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily starting the day after treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 7–10 days, and wear a wide-brim hat if you’re outside.
Avoid any further aesthetic or skin treatments for at least 2 weeks unless approved by your practitioner.
Treatment Schedule and Expectations
Results from chemical peels are cumulative and best seen over a course of 3–6 sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. You may begin to notice brighter, smoother skin within a few days, with full effects visible by 1–2 weeks post-treatment. Your practitioner will recommend the most appropriate treatment plan based on your skin concerns and goals.
